Shelves, Cabinets, and Consoles

Custom record console out of walnut, with a small white oak drawer.

This console was designed to house a small record collection inside four compartments covered with doors using soft close hinges.  The small drawer in the middle holds the handful of accessories needed (remotes, record cleaner, extra sleeves, etc.) and the shelf above it perfectly fits the receiver.

All doors and the drawer and grain matched as they came from one continuous panel, and all hardware is push to open, eliminating the need for handles or knobs for a super clean look.

Corner shelf out of cherry.

This shelf was designed to fit in the corner of a kitchen. The curved base is notched to allow the entire shelf unit to clear the base boards so that the shelf unit rests against the walls, without requiring removal of the base boards as if it was a built-in shelf unit.

Comic book cabinet as part of a floating bookshelf wall project.  Each drawer has notches cut for dividers to prevent comics from flopping over in a half-full drawer or to otherwise sort and separate a collection.  The middle of the cabinet includes space for extra tall hardcover books and comic ominbuses and anthologies.

Each drawer runs on soft close full extension drawer slides to allow access to every inch of the drawer - no fussing to try to reach that issue in the back!
